Exciting times in Tokyo

Yesterday we went to Ueno. There we took a nice little trip to the zoo. They even had a little pony, living with a Donkey, two Alpacas and a Llama. How nice.
It was marvellously hot and this lead to unwanted sunburn.
It was like 27 degrees though, which was bloody good considering it didn't stop raining from October of last year until the end of April. Although it is raining again now, joy of joys.

Today we ventured to Shinjuku to see the view from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government buildings.
Well this got off to a good start (ahem) when we went in to the cafe on the 45th floor. Not only were they trying to charge us 700 yen for a soft drink, they were also going to add a 500 yen service charge EACH. We did a runner when the guy wasn't looking.
We were then ripped off by a photo booth, that promised us it would impose our picture infront of Mt. Fuji. Only really, it couldn't. So that was crap, and it caused the loss of Karina's camera (which was later found, thankfully, and retrieved, after I was asked to give a list of 'characteristics' of the camera. Hum.)
An exciting day all in all.
