No thanks.

So finally after being here for two weeks, I got my act together and got the information for the Keio University Horse Riding Club, and emailed them.
They eventually replied and were all SURE COME JOIN OUR CLUB, BUT YOU HAVE TO COME HERE EVERYDAY AND WE COMPETE FOR THE SPIRIT OF KEIO.
So sadly they had to be knocked back.
See, the difference between normal 'circles' here and sports ones, is that the sports ones are all ridiculously serious. I mean, as much as i'd love to ride every day, its just not going to happen, not with the amount of classes I have to take. And as for competing? Well I don't compete. I don't like the atmosphere of riding competitions and all the "my hosre is better than your horse"/"what make are your riding boots because mine are HARRY HALL" sentiment. Who knows if it would be the same here, but from my experience, horsey snobs are the same wherever you go. And no one is going to persuade me to compete again, not after the "that pony looks like a donkey AND it can't jump can it?" episode. (Actually 'it' is the best jumping pony on the yard, just for the record.) So looks like I'm going to have to find somewhere else to ride.
RANT OVER.

  3. Oh hey Vivian, I was thinking of badminton, too.

I always knew they were serious about their sports clubs, but 5am training every day sounds like cba.

  4. even my tutor told me
not to join a sports club, because it fills every moment of your day, you have to go compete in tournaments and stuff. plus you have to pay. also some of them wont take gaijin LOL

welll.... i think we accepted a gaijin once before so....

    just dont do it
go find a private badminton club if you wanna play that badly.
