Okay so I just got back from America this week. And something was sad.
Toffee has apparently been sold :(

Don't get me wrong, she's still around, and I rode her the other day. But I don't know if I will ever be able to ride her again, and to be honest, once I leave for Japan in September, I don't know if I will ever SEE her again.
I am thoroughly gutted, but why should I be suprised? This has happened many a time before. Thats why I promised I wouldn't ever get attached to another horse again. But I couldn't help it with Toffee.
Most people don't get it and they say "its just a horse." But that, my friends, is utter BULLSHIT.
Toffee is not just a horse. (Or pony, as the case may be.)
Toffee is the only reason I am back in the saddle.
After my riding school closed down back in highschool, and after quite a few bad experiences and accidents on horses, I quit riding for a while.

After my riding school closed down back in highschool, and after quite a few bad experiences and accidents on horses, I quit riding for a while.
So, when I started again last year, it took me a while to get some confidence back, in myself mainly.
Toffee taught me to ride again. She taught me to trust horses again. She taught me that some horses have hearts of gold, and she is one of them. I don't think I've ever loved a horse quite as much as I've come to love her over the last year.
So, If I never get to ride her again, and if we have to say good bye soon, I want to thank Toffee. For teaching me so much, for all the hacks out when I never once questioned my trust in her no matter what, for getting me over my first fence in 5 years, and for getting me through my first competition in a long time- we may not have been placed, but I was just glad to ride her that day.

If I ever meet another horse that is half the horse she is, I would consider it a serious find.
Thank you Toffeeee, I will never forget our year together. ♥♥♥♥

"You are a great champion.
When you ran, the ground shook,
When you ran, the ground shook,
The sky opened and mere mortals parted.
Parted the way to victory,
Where you'll meet me in the winner's circle,
And I'll put a blanket of flowers on your back."
TOFFEE- IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER.
